How it's calculated
Power Factor is bullet weight in grains times muzzle velocity in feet per second, divided by 1,000. AIMONX drops the decimals instead of rounding up, the way it's done at a match. A 124-grain bullet at 1,050 fps comes out at 130.
Muzzle energy shows in foot-pounds when you enter fps, and in joules when you enter m/s.
Save your setups
Give a setup a name, like "124 gr match load, 5-inch barrel", and save it to the history. AIMONX keeps your last 50, newest first, with weight, velocity, Power Factor, energy, date and time.
The history is a scratch pad: it isn't part of your logbook, your backup or your archive. Once it's gone, it's gone.
On every ammo card too
Add the muzzle velocity to any ammo you track, factory or handloaded, and its Power Factor and energy stay on its card for good.
