Download AIMONX and start logging. No email, no password to create, no name. There's no login, because there's no AIMONX account at all.
No AIMONX servers
Your logbook isn't stored on an AIMONX server, because there isn't one. We never see your firearms, your serial numbers or your round counts.
Encrypted on your iPhone
Your whole logbook lives in an encrypted database on your iPhone. It unlocks only when you verify it's you, with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode, and by default it locks again when you leave the app. Even in the app switcher, AIMONX shows only its logo.
An encrypted copy in your own iCloud
Phones break, get lost, get replaced. So by default, AIMONX keeps an encrypted copy of your logbook in your own iCloud. It backs up your changes when you open or close the app, or whenever you tap Back Up Now.
- It's encrypted on your iPhone, with the same key as your logbook, before it goes anywhere.
- It sits in your personal iCloud storage. We can't access it.
- It's separate from your iPhone's iCloud Backup, which can only bring back your whole phone at once.
- New iPhone, or reinstalled the app? Your firearms, sessions and ammo come right back.
- Don't want it? You can turn it off.
Works offline
No signal at the range? Log as usual. Your encrypted copy is saved to your own iCloud the next time you use the app with a connection.
Advanced protection, if you want it
Face ID has you covered if your phone is lost or stolen. But by default, the key to your logbook is kept in your Apple Keychain, so anyone who can get into your Apple Account could reach it. Want it out of reach for everyone but you? Add a passphrase only you know. AIMONX will ask for it every time it starts up, and Face ID alone won't open your logbook. Make it long, like a few words strung together. Advanced protection comes with Pro.
One honest warning: forget it, and nobody can recover your data. Not us, not anyone.
Serial numbers are optional
Add one only if you want to, or use a private name like "Match pistol 1." Photos you add are stripped of their location and other hidden details before they're saved.
No ads. No analytics. No tracking.
AIMONX doesn't include any third-party code that talks to the internet: no analytics, no crash reporters, no ad networks. Your data talks to no one but your own iCloud.
Your data, on your terms
- PDF reports of your firearms are created right on your iPhone, with an optional password.
- Encrypted archives (Pro): export your whole logbook with a password of its own, and keep it wherever you like: a drive, another cloud, a USB stick.
- Restoring an archive is always free, even without Pro.
- Want a clean slate? Reset App deletes your logbook from your iPhone, and your encrypted iCloud copy too.
